Frequently Asked Questions

Price

How Much Do You Charge Per Room?

Each carpet cleaning job is different to the next. And the price of the clean varies depending on the following factors:

  • How big is the area of the room?
  • Is the level of soiling light, medium or heavy?
  • Is the carpet fibres natural or synthetic?
  • Are there stains or odours than need additional treatment?
  • Does the home have furniture in it or is it empty?
  • Will we be cleaning around furniture or moving it for you?
  • Would you like carpet protection reapplied to prevent stains becoming permanent?
  • Do animals live in the home?
  • When was the last time the carpets were cleaned?

So the answer to the question, how much do you charge for a room of carpet can only be answered with ‘How much is a piece of string?’. That is why we suggest you get one of our technicians to come to your home and give you a carpet audit wherethey will measure the rooms to be cleaned, let you know what kind of results to expect and give you a written price for the clean.

I Don't Want To Pay Too Much for Carpet Cleaning. Are You Expensive?

Now I understand that money is tight and we all have better things to spend our money on than carpet cleaning. But I also know we want the best value for our money. We can buy something for $5 at the dollar store knowing it may break within a week or two or pay $50 for a similar product at another store knowing the quality is much higher and the product will last a long time. The same goes for carpet cleaning. The amount you pay will depend on the quality of the clean and service provided.

At Diamond Carpet Cleaning, our mission is to give you ‘The Most Detailed Clean Ever.. Or it’s FREE!’ and provide an Exceptional Client Experience for each and every client. This means we don’t cut corners. We use high quality cleaning equipment and chemicals, we clean every square inch of your carpets and we guarantee all of our work.

All of our technicians are trained at carpet cleaning school, sit exams and receive certification in carpet cleaning. This means they know how to provide a detailed clean that not only meets the Australian standards but supersedes them. They are trained in stain removal and are able to care for you carpets better than carpet cleaners who are not trained and certified.

Some cleaning companies do a 2 step cleaning process. Some do 3-5 steps. But at Diamond Carpet Cleaning, each of our residential carpet cleaning packages have a minimum of 8 steps. We also provide Free Spot and Spill insurance, our work is guaranteed, our technicians are insured and we take steps to care for your home.

So are we expensive? Compared to other cleaning companies that don’t provide the same service??? Yes we are. But with Diamond Carpet Cleaning you get value for money, an Exceptional Client Experience and The Most Detailed Clean Ever!!!

Can You Give Me a Price Over The Phone?

No. We can’t give you a price over the phone. That would be like ringing a mechanic and asking how much to fix your car that has a weird noise. Without inspecting the car and finding out what is causing the noise, a price over the phone is just a guesstimate. And it’s the same with cleaning.

As mentioned in one of the FAQ’s earlier, each clean is different. There are many factors that influence the price. Sure we can ask you a few questions over the phone to get an idea of the clean but even then we can get it wrong. We’ve quoted over the phone before and been as much as $150 over or under price given over the phone. No one wants an extra $150 tacked on to their cleaning bill. What a nasty surprise.

That is why we insist on a Carpet Audit… where we inspect your carpet, cover any concerns you have and give you a written price for the clean. No nasty surprises for anyone.

If a price over the phone is unavoidable, we will give you a guesstimate… We will ask you questions to help us arrive at a price. However, the guesstimate is exactly that… A Guesstimate. Our technician will inspect your carpets upon arrival at the job and will give you a written price before he begins the clean.

What Is A Healthy Home Audit?

A Healthy Home Audit is more than a price quote. It where one of our techcnians come to your home and inspect your carpets, tiles, loungesuites & other items you would like cleaned. They will go through any concerns and answer any questions you have. They will measure up the rooms, let you know what kind of results to expect, give you recommendations on how to maintain clean healhty carpets and of course give you a written price for the clean.

The Clean

What Method Of Cleaning Do You Use?

The two most popular cleaning techniques for cleaning carpets are hot water extraction (also known as Steam Cleaning) and Dry Cleaning. At Diamond Carpet Cleaning we use steam cleaning as the pros and cons of steam cleaning far out way the pros and cons of dry cleaning.

The steam cleaning method provides a deep cleaning of most of the fibres. However, a dry clean only cleans the surface of the carpet and can result in a build-up of dirt and permanent wearing overtime. Steam cleaning is the most widely used method of carpet cleaning and is recommended by carpeted manufacturers and industry cleaning experts and professionals.

Do I Need To Vacuum Before Your Technician Arrives?

No. You do not need to vacuum before our technician arrives. It recommended by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Carpet ad Restoration Certification) that all carpets be vacuumed before they are cleaned. Our technicians will vacuum your carpets using a HEPA Filter Vacuum as a part of our service.

No. Diamond Carpet Cleaning give you the option for our technicians to move the furniture or to go around the furniture. If the furniture moving option is selected, our technicians will move most furniture including desks and beds so that all the carpet is able to be cleaned. However, for occupational health and safety reasons, our technician will not move large TV cabinets, china cabinets and heavy items. They will notify you of these items at your carpet audit.

Your technician will be able to advise you of the approximate length of time after inspecting your carpets.
